Call for Abstracts and Nominations
SUBMISSION DEADLINE 31 AUGUST 2016
Abstract Submissions should include:
- Title and precis of the abstract (60 words)
- Nomination of format - oral presentation (15 minutes + Q&A), workshop (1 hour) or poster presentation (A2 format)
- Abstract describing the subject of the presentation (300 words)
- Biography (300 words) with a headshot photograph of the author (jpeg)
Successful abstract submissions automatically qualify the author(s) to be considered for the 2016 Arts and Health Australia Awards for Excellence in the following categories:
- Arts in Primary and Acute Care
- Creative Ageing
- Arts in Community Health
- Arts and Health in Regional and Rural Australia
- Mental Health and the Arts
- Social Inclusion through the Arts
- Arts in Health Promotion
- Arts and Aboriginal Health
- Architecture and Environmental Design
- Arts in Health Training and Education
- Arts and Health Research and Evaluation
- National Arts and Health Leadership Award
- International Arts and Health Leadership Award
Please note: Where there are two or more authors jointly submitting one abstract, each author is required to fill out a separate submission form.
Conference Submission Categories
The Art of Good Health and Wellbeing, 8th Annual International Arts and Health Conference, at the Art Gallery of NSW will present best practice and innovative arts and health programs, examples of effective health promotion and health prevention strategies, methods of project evaluation and scientific research.
The principal focus of the 2016 conference is Mental Health and Resilience through the Arts.
There are six conference streams:

- Creative Ageing and Aged Care
- Community Arts and Health
- Health Promotion and the Arts
- Education and Training for Health and Arts Professionals
- Arts and Health Research and Evaluation
